Namecheap's .com first-year price genuinely depends on which promo path you take ($6.79 with a coupon, $11.28 without), and renews at $18.48/year either way. Cloudflare Registrar's .com is flat at $10.46/year - the same price the first year and every year after. Hostinger's .com is the cheapest to start ($0.01 first year) but the most expensive to keep ($19.99/year renewal) - higher than either of the other two.
Cloudflare Registrar's flat $10.46/year for .com is the lowest ongoing cost of the 3, by a wide margin - it's roughly 43% below Namecheap's $18.48 renewal and about 48% below Hostinger's $19.99 renewal. If you're registering a domain you plan to keep for years, the renewal price matters more than the first-year headline.
Hostinger wins on raw first-year price ($0.01 for .com), with Namecheap's coupon price ($6.79) a distant second and Cloudflare's flat $10.46 third. But this is exactly the trap FEESAVE flags in both the Hostinger and Namecheap reviews: the cheapest first year isn't the cheapest domain - it's the cheapest first year. If you don't plan to switch registrars again after year 1, factor in the renewal price too.
Cloudflare Registrar includes free DNS, CDN, SSL, WHOIS privacy, and DNSSEC with every domain, no extra cost. Namecheap includes free WHOIS/domain privacy protection for life with eligible registrations. Via Namecheap's own domain price search tool (no coupon code entered), the 3 classic TLDs are: .com $11.28 first year / $18.48 renewal / $11.48 transfer; .net $12.48 / $18.58 / $12.98; .org $8.48 / $18.98 / $12.28. All 3 are among the TLDs Namecheap marks as subject to a mandatory extra ICANN fee (see separate claim) not included in these figures.
Separately from the $11.28 general table price, Namecheap's own homepage ALSO advertises a coupon-gated .com promo: "$6.79/yr instead of $14.98/yr, New customers only," shown with a badge reading "NEWCOM679" and "55% off." This is a genuinely different (lower) number than the $11.28 shown in the price-search table on the SAME page - not a data error on FEESAVE's part. This directly explains why third-party sites previously showed conflicting .com prices for Namecheap: multiple legitimate promotional prices exist simultaneously, gated by whether a specific coupon is applied. Readers should expect the price they actually see at checkout to depend on which promo path they take, and should not treat either $6.79 or $11.28 alone as "the" Namecheap .com price.
Checked live via Cloudflare's own domain search tool: .com is $10.46 for both the first year and every renewal - genuinely flat, no first-year discount and no renewal hike. .net is similarly flat at $11.86. .org is the exception among these 3: $8.50 first year (discounted from $11.20), renewing at the full $11.20/year - so even Cloudflare's "at-cost" model isn't always flat across every single TLD.

The $0.01 .com price is dramatically cheaper up front than Namecheap ($11.28) or Cloudflare ($10.46), but the $19.99 renewal is HIGHER than Namecheap's $18.48 renewal and nearly double Cloudflare's flat $10.46 - the cheapest headline price is not the cheapest price over time. IMPORTANT CONDITION (found in the live domain search, not the static table, re-checked 2026-09-13 on 2 separate test domains): the $0.01 .com price requires a 3-year registration term - Hostinger's search result shows "With 3-year term" directly under the $0.01 price. The static comparison table this claim is otherwise sourced from does not disclose this condition anywhere.
